Role Overview: Scientific Editor, Medical Physics

Cactus Communications is seeking a Scientific Editor specializing in Medical Physics to join its team in Al-Ahsa, Eastern region. This role involves leveraging subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine research manuscripts, ensuring scientific accuracy and discipline-specific clarity. The editor contributes to enhancing the overall quality of language in scientific publications, helping researchers globally publish their work in prestigious journals.

Key Responsibilities

Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content, while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
Ensure subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
Edit manuscripts to meet the highest standards of academic writing, ensuring the final text is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences.
Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background in Medical Physics or a related scientific field. This position requires an individual who enjoys engaging with cutting-edge research and demonstrates a keen eye for improving scientific writing. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
