About WSP and the Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Planning Engineer-Water Transmission to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time role is critical for supporting large-scale water transmission and pipeline infrastructure projects, requiring a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle. This position ensures the implementation of effective project controls, robust schedule management, and accurate progress tracking for critical infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programmes, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment.
• Analyze project performance and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Track critical path activities and provide schedule impact assessments.
• Support claims analysis, extension of time (EOT) evaluations, and change management processes.
• Review contractor schedules and validate progress against planned milestones.
• Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and client reporting requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically within large-scale infrastructure projects. Proficiency in using Primavera P6 for schedule development and management is essential.

Preferred Project Background

Preference will be given to individuals with demonstrated experience on large water transmission networks, including reservoirs, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure. Experience working on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), design-build, or consultancy-led projects is also highly valued.
