QC Inspector Civil Project

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a QC Inspector Civil Project to join their team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, field-based position involves performing inspection and testing of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Role Overview

The QC Inspector - Civil is responsible for verifying that all civil construction work adheres to approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and standards. The role requires daily presence on active civil work fronts and coordination with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on civil works, including earthworks, formwork, rebar, and concrete.
• Witness concrete pours, compaction tests, and cube/cylinder sampling in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify formwork, rebar placement, and dimensions against approved civil drawings.
• Confirm materials, such as concrete mix and rebar, against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify the calibration status of measuring and test equipment utilized on site.
• Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified civil works items.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and relevant civil codes.
• Assist in the preparation of quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil quality control inspection.
• Demonstrated ability to perform inspections and testing of civil construction activities.
• Proficiency in verifying compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role that requires daily presence on active civil work fronts. The position involves exposure to typical site and construction conditions. Shift work or extended hours may be required to cover inspection hold points and project demands.
