Senior Architectural Engineer

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a Senior Architectural Engineer to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves overseeing architectural design review, coordination, and compliance for a major PMC project. The successful candidate will work with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure architectural aspects align with design intent, statutory requirements, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve architectural design submissions from consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Ensure architectural designs are aesthetically consistent, functionally practical, and technically feasible.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, civil, landscape) to achieve integrated design and construction solutions.
• Provide technical input across all project stages: concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction supervision.
• Participate in design workshops, value engineering exercises, and design reviews with stakeholders.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability requirements (*, LEED, Estidama).
• Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and contractor queries (RFIs).
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify architectural works align with approved designs.
• Mentor junior architects and review their work for quality and consistency.
• Prepare architectural reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and supervision, with at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.
• Strong knowledge of architectural codes, materials, detailing, and finishes.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination with other disciplines.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and compliance standards.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
