About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. (ABIS) is seeking a Senior QA/QC Inspector / Engineer specializing in Mechanical work. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, and focuses on critical shutdown and turnaround projects within the oil and gas industry. The role requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive quality assurance and control throughout mechanical projects, particularly during intensive shutdown and turnaround phases. This involves conducting detailed inspections, coordinating with various project teams, and ensuring strict compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations to support project schedules and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical equipment and systems during shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and required documentation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Support project management to ensure timely completion of shutdown and turnaround activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection or engineering roles focused on mechanical systems.
• Proven experience working in shutdown and turnaround projects within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
