Site Manager

About the Role

Air Products Qudra is seeking a Site Manager to oversee operations in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves managing a site team and a facility that includes an Air Separation Plant, Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, a CO2 unit, compression, a Steam Turbine Generator, and all associated ancillary and utility equipment, along with a merchant facility and pipeline network. The Site Manager reports to the Operation Line Manager and is responsible for supervising operations and maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, including customer production meetings, to ensure daily operational targets are met.
• Interface with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure safe and reliable site operation.
• Provide leadership in company and industry safe work processes to prevent incidents and adhere to HSSE policies.
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental Regulatory requirements and BHIG standards for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and customer services.
• Drive a risk-based decision culture to ensure effective safety control.
• Provide technical direction and guidance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing activities.
• Manage plant production efficiently based on data-driven decisions to achieve maximum profitability while meeting safety and reliability targets.
• Ensure the safety of all operations and maintenance personnel using BHIG’s Basic Safety Practice program.
• Facilitate planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up to build the BHIG safety culture.
• Meet customer satisfaction targets for safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply.
• Manage and organize regular equipment testing and routine preventive maintenance.
• Participate in preparing maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Provide coaching and motivation to the operations team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Develop, train, and promote high-performing operation personnel.
• Lead incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis, identifying and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact for internal facility issues, representing BHIG and coordinating internal resources.

Team Management and Development

The Site Manager will directly manage and supervise operations and maintenance staff, including the Assistant Site Manager, Shift Supervisors, Operators, and the maintenance team. This involves fostering a site culture that promotes teamwork and a high-performing organization, ensuring personnel are customer and employee-focused, foster open communication, and are performance-driven and results-oriented.

Operational and Technical Support

This role provides essential operations and maintenance support, maintaining accurate document control, and monitoring quality assurance initiatives. The Site Manager will ensure safety, reliability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems. This includes providing input for scheduled outages to meet contractual requirements and working closely with business areas to identify productivity expansion projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex industrial facilities and diverse teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing safety programs such as Safety Work Permits, LOTO, and Confined Space procedures.
• Experience with SAP notifications for maintenance activities.
• Skills in conducting risk assessments for operational and maintenance activities.
• Ability to build plant technical capability through coordination with Regional and Global teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail. The role requires establishing and maintaining close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor and evaluate plant systems and equipment.
