Role Summary: Assistant Site Manager

The Assistant Site Manager will be based in Al Jubail and is responsible for managing and supervising the operations of a facility that includes an Air Separation Plant, a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, a CO2 unit, compression systems, a Steam Turbine Generator, and all associated ancillary and utility equipment, along with a merchant facility and pipeline network. This full-time role requires 10 years of experience and reports directly to the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in supervising operations staff, including shift supervisors and operators.
• Ensure daily operational targets are achieved and maintain safe and reliable site operations by interfacing with Maintenance and Engineering teams.
• Provide and maintain a safe work environment, demonstrating leadership in company and industry safe work processes.
• Ensure adherence to company HSSE policy and procedures, and meet all environmental regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical direction and guidance for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and testing activities.
• Manage plant production efficiently based on data-driven decisions to meet safety and reliability targets.
• Ensure the safety of all operations and maintenance personnel through the BHIG Basic Safety Practice program.
• Meet customer satisfaction targets for safety, reliability, product quality, and supply flexibility.
• Verify and approve SAP notifications with accurate basic data and participate in pre-work visits with Maintenance and Contractors.
• Participate in preparing maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds, including scope definition and prioritization.
• Manage and organize regular equipment testing and routine preventive maintenance.
• Release work permits, ensure all precautions are fulfilled, and maximize safe work permit practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in unusual operational or maintenance activities.
• Provide coaching and motivation to the operations team to achieve operational excellence.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis, implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Act as the Single Point of Contact for internal facility issues, coordinating internal resources.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proven coordination experience in a multi-team environment, including operations, engineering, and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with effective communication abilities across all organizational levels and externally.
• Ability to foster a 'one team' environment.
• Capability to communicate and manage customer interactions daily.
• Extensive technical knowledge in operations, engineering, and maintenance activities.
• Understanding of local environmental and health and safety requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Al Jubail, requiring active participation in managing and supervising a complex industrial facility. The role involves close collaboration with various internal teams, including engineering and maintenance, and external stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
