About the Aviation H Structural Airframe Mechanic Role

Amentum is seeking a skilled Aviation H Structural Airframe Mechanic to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires extensive experience in helicopter structural and airframe maintenance, focusing on H-60 aircraft. The role involves performing a range of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs to ensure the airworthiness and operational readiness of the aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI), Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance on H-60 helicopters.
• Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, tires, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, rigging, and pressurized systems.
• Identify, use, and maintain common, special, and precision tools required for aircraft maintenance and repair.
• Operate and maintain all applicable ground support equipment.
• Maintain all required maintenance documentation, applicable forms, records, and reports in accordance with references and publications, including the NAMP.
• Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel, maintaining appropriate training records.
• Perform minor preservation on various components and blades as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in aviation structural and airframe maintenance.
• 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter sheet metal, structures, and mechanical work.
• Experience includes inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, rig checks, and testing of hydraulic components, airframes, landing gear assembly, bridge assembly, and rotor head systems.
• Ability to install, adjust, align, and perform final functional/operational tests on major aircraft systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components, including hydraulic servos, pumps, main/tail rotor blades, flight controls systems, and flight control rigging.
• Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling components/sub-systems, determining required repairs, and completing check-out procedures.
• Ability to visually check components for corrosion, improper wear, and adjustments.
• Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring instruments, special tools, scales, test stands, and external power sources.
• Knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of interrelated and integrated aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies, such as hydraulic, pneumatic systems, airframes, surface repair, and landing gear.
• Ability to inspect main mounts and tail wheel shocks, struts for cracks, damage, security, leaks, and proper lubrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Must possess a QAR/CDQAR, A&P, or a military equivalent such as Army 15G Technical Inspector or Restricted Technical Inspector, Air Force 2A773, or equivalent military MOS.

Preferred Qualifications

• H-60 Flight Control Rigging experience.
• Qualified aircraft paint and finish experience.
• Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic AM HSM HSC or Army 15G, Air Force 2A773 HH-60, or equivalent military MOS.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Candidates must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for periods throughout the day, and climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Clearance and Compliance

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) Background Investigation and pass a drug test. Facility credentials/authorization must also be obtainable and maintainable.
