About the Role of Civil Surveyor

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Civil Surveyor to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves performing land and construction surveys to establish and verify site levels, alignments, and dimensions. The Civil Surveyor will support accurate setting-out and progress verification for various civil and construction works.

Key Responsibilities

Perform site surveys for setting-out civil works, including excavation, foundations, structures, pipelines, and roads.
Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids.
Verify as-built dimensions, levels, and alignments against approved drawings.
Operate survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and levels, and maintain calibration records.
Prepare survey reports, as-built drawings, and quantity survey data as required.
Support Quality Control (QC) with dimensional verification for civil, structural, and piping works.
Coordinate with construction supervision regarding setting-out requirements and schedules.
Maintain comprehensive survey records, field books, and data files.
Support topographic and boundary surveys as needed.
Identify and report survey discrepancies to the Superintendent or Engineering team.
Support progress measurement through survey-based quantity verification.

Required Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in civil surveying.
Proficiency in performing land and construction surveys.
Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain various survey equipment.

Performance Expectations

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on several key indicators, including the accuracy of setting-out and survey data, the timeliness of survey support provided to construction activities, the quality and completeness of survey records and as-built data, and responsiveness to survey requests from site teams.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail. The role requires active participation in site-based survey activities, coordinating closely with construction and engineering teams to ensure project accuracy and progress.
