Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a skilled Coating Engineer to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role is integral to our operations within the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on critical infrastructure protection.

Role Overview

The Coating Engineer will be responsible for developing, planning, and supervising coating projects designed to protect equipment and structures from corrosion and environmental factors. This position requires close collaboration with project teams to specify appropriate coating systems, manage application processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background and extensive knowledge of coating systems and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop coating specifications and procedures for oil and gas projects.
• Inspect and evaluate surfaces to determine appropriate coating systems.
• Supervise coating application activities to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with quality control and inspection teams to monitor coating integrity.
• Manage documentation related to coating processes, approvals, and certifications.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for coating-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during coating operations.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in coatings and corrosion protection.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Corrosion Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in coating engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE, SSPC, and ISO related to coating and corrosion control.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
