Job Summary

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. (ABIS) is seeking a Government Relation Officer (GRO) to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role is essential for managing the company's interactions with government bodies, ensuring compliance, and facilitating operational needs.

The Government Relation Officer Role

The GRO at ABIS is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with various government agencies and authorities. This position involves acting as a key liaison, ensuring the organization's adherence to all relevant governmental regulations, and streamlining the processing of official communications and documentation critical for business operations. The role is pivotal in securing necessary permits, approvals, and licenses, while also proactively monitoring changes in laws and regulations that could impact the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and government agencies.
  • Manage applications and follow-up for permits, licenses, and other official documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental rules, laws, and regulations relevant to company operations.
  • Monitor and communicate updates on government policies that could impact the organization.
  • Coordinate and facilitate governmental inspections or audits as required.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with government officials and agencies.
  • Support management in addressing governmental inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports related to government relations activities.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure company practices align with governmental requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience in government relations or a directly related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of regulatory processes and effective liaison with public sector entities.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based at our operations in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. The role requires coordination with various internal departments and external government entities.
