H-60 Helicopter Engine Drivetrain Mechanic/Aviation Machinist Mate

About the Role

Amentum is seeking an experienced H-60 Helicopter Engine Drivetrain Mechanic/Aviation Machinist Mate-1 to provide Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support. This full-time position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, and involves specialized maintenance and repair of MH-60R helicopters.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for MH-60R power plant systems, including engines and auxiliary power units.
• Conduct fuel cell maintenance, tail rotor breakdown and rigging, and tail drive shaft removal and shimming.
• Utilize the IMDS/HUMS vibration diagnostic system and IVHMU data to perform adjustments and ensure vibration diagnostics meet minimum standards.
• Execute removal, disassembly, repair, rigging, rework, reassembly, installation, modification, adjustment, testing, and preservation of power plant systems, transmission systems, tail drive shaft assembly, rotor systems, fuel cells, flight controls, subsystems, and components in accordance with technical manuals and safety procedures.
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and corrective actions (AVUM/AVIM) on power plant, transmission, tail drive shaft, rotor, fuel, and oil systems.
• Conduct depot-level maintenance and repair when authorized.
• Operate and maintain all applicable peculiar and common ground support equipment.
• Identify, use, and maintain common, special, and precision tools for power plant maintenance and repair.
• Complete and maintain applicable forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and publications, including the NAMP.
• Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel, maintaining records such as Readiness Insight or ASMi.
• Assist in maintaining safety standards within the shop, hangar, and on the flight line.
• Accept accountability for property within the Power Plant Shop.
• Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned work area, vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience, including 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work.
• Verifiable experience maintaining H-60 aircraft is required.
• A valid A&P license, QAR, CDQAR, or TI qualification is mandatory.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Security and Workplace Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) Background Investigation and pass a drug test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Amentum maintains a drug-free workplace and conducts post-offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
