Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. (ABIS) is a prominent company operating in the Eastern Province. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Safety Officer to join our team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is integral to upholding the highest safety standards within our oil and gas operations.

Role Overview

The Senior Safety Officer at ABIS will be responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards and compliance within the oil and gas industry operations. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, monitoring safety procedures, and leading safety training initiatives to minimize workplace hazards and incidents. The Senior Safety Officer will collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to promote a safe working environment and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs specific to the oil and gas industry for Shutdown / turnaround.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
• Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Advise management on safety matters and participate in emergency response planning.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in safety roles within the oil and gas industry.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Province, focusing on operations within the oil and gas industry. The role requires active engagement in ensuring safety across various project phases, including shutdown and turnaround activities.
