Room Attendant

About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas according to established hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting furniture, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms, and vacuuming carpets, in adherence to hotel standards.
• Inspect rooms during cleaning to ensure all items are in proper working condition and report any necessary repairs to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas around assigned guest rooms, equipment, and pantries.
• Provide turndown service for assigned guest rooms, which includes turning down beds, replenishing supplies, and cleaning bathrooms as needed.
• Handle late check-out and late service requests for guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Stay informed about hotel products and services to effectively answer guest inquiries.
• Address guest questions and requests in a professional manner, taking appropriate action or escalating to relevant personnel when necessary.
• Document relevant information on assignment sheets for record-keeping and future reference.
• Report special attention guests, unusual situations, and incidents requiring follow-up at the end of each shift to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Verify the physical status of rooms and update the Order Taker regarding any discrepancies.
• Report lost and found items immediately to the Supervisor and Order Taker, coordinating the retrieval process.
• Assist in controlling guest and cleaning supplies to optimize cost efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, operating within the hospitality sector.
