About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing high-quality massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The role requires a professional who can assess individual guest needs, identify any contraindications, and stay updated with current techniques and modalities in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a range of massage and body treatments to guests, utilizing various props and products.
• Assess guest needs thoroughly and inquire about potential contraindications, such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy, before commencing any service.
• Escort guests professionally to and from treatment rooms, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Regularly check with guests throughout the service to ensure their comfort, safety, and security.
• Actively promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

• Arrange and maintain the workstation, treatment room, and drapes to high standards of presentation and hygiene.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize all tools and equipment diligently.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room throughout the shift, including disposing of trash and dirty linens, and securing supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and adhere strictly to the daily time schedule.
• Address inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may involve stopping a treatment or service and informing a supervisor/manager.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager promptly, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, uphold confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with colleagues and guests using clear and professional language, and develop positive working relationships.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience in a similar role. No supervisory experience is required for this position.
• Licensure: Possession of a valid State or Regional Massage License is mandatory.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Demonstrated fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for manipulating objects of various sizes and weights.

General Duties

The Massage Therapist will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the spa services.
