About the Role

Lantern Systems Co. Ltd is seeking a Presales Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role is central to supporting bid and sales activities within Physical Security and Telecommunications, focusing on delivering compliant and cost-effective solutions to clients. The Presales Engineer analyzes client requirements, designs technical solutions, and prepares comprehensive proposals.

RFP Analysis and Solution Development

  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents to identify both technical and commercial requirements.
  • Develop cost-effective and compliant security and telecom solutions, including CCTV, Access Control, IDS, Perimeter Security, PSIM, Command & Control, and general Telecom systems, covering both HCIS and non-HCIS requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and gather necessary information for solution design.

Proposal Preparation and Client Engagement

  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, including Bills of Quantities (BOQs), compliance matrices, pricing, and detailed technical documentation.
  • Design technical schematics and solution architectures using tools such as AutoCAD and Visio.
  • Ensure all proposals align with client requirements, budgetary constraints, and relevant regulations.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
  • Provide clear technical clarifications and justifications as needed.
  • Support product demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities for prospective clients.

Vendor and Internal Coordination

  • Identify and negotiate with OEMs, distributors, channel partners, and subcontractors to secure optimal solutions.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations to optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) for proposals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to stay updated on technology advancements and pricing.
  • Work closely with sales, procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure proposal alignment and seamless project execution.
  • Ensure cost accuracy by collaborating with design and estimation teams.
  • Support contract review processes and ensure compliance with all terms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5–7 years of experience in presales, bid management, or solution engineering, specifically within security systems and telecom systems.
  • Preferred: Prior experience working on projects for Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and Maa’den.

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and involves working collaboratively with various internal departments and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment. Salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
