About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Restaurant Host to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role is open exclusively to Saudi nationals and requires 0-1 years of experience. The primary responsibility involves serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring a courteous, professional, and efficient service that aligns with hotel standards and Kempinski’s DNA values, with the aim of encouraging sales and maximizing guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Report to duty punctually, adhering to the hotel's dress code and Kempinski grooming standards, including wearing the correct uniform, appropriate shoes, and nametag.
Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service at all times.
Perform all duties and tasks as required by the assigned outlet.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all services and products offered by the hotel, including food and beverage items.
Explain and upsell items offered by the department, providing alternatives when necessary.
Monitor operating supplies and equipment, actively working to reduce spoilage and wastage.
Ensure the workplace and surrounding areas are kept clean and organized.
Successfully execute opening and closing procedures for the assigned outlet.
Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently, reporting complaints and feedback to supervisors for follow-up.
Operate the existing POS system according to the assigned responsibility level.
Adhere strictly to hotel policies, including fire, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Maintain good rapport and working relationships with colleagues within the department and hotel.
Attend and contribute to all scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head.
Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
Project a positive and motivated attitude, exercising self-control.

Guest Relations and Coordination

Maintain and update the restaurant's guest history records.
Keep a legible and up-to-date reservation book.
Coordinate the printing of restaurant menus.
Maintain excellent communication with related departments, including Guest Services, Concierge, Restaurant Reservations, other F&B outlets, In-Room Dining, and Banquet Service.

Qualifications and Requirements

0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
Ability to provide courteous, professional, and efficient service.
Knowledge of food and beverage items and upselling techniques.
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adherence to hygiene, health, and safety standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern region. The role involves working within a dynamic hotel environment, requiring adaptability to changes dictated by hotel management and business needs.
