About the Opportunity

Grand Hyatt Al Khobar is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef - Asian Cuisine to join its culinary team. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia, and plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen's operational success and guest satisfaction.

Role Overview

The Sous Chef assists the Chef de Cuisine in managing their assigned kitchen operation. The primary objective is to ensure the kitchen functions as a successful independent profit center, delivering maximum guest satisfaction through efficient planning, organization, direction, and control of all kitchen activities and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Cuisine in the overall management of the assigned kitchen operation.
• Contribute to the kitchen's performance as a successful independent profit center.
• Implement effective planning, organizing, directing, and controlling strategies for kitchen operations.
• Oversee kitchen administration to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through consistent quality and service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Sous Chef, or 4 years as a Chef de Partie.
• Experience must be gained within a hotel or a large restaurant that maintains good standards.
• Prior experience with luxury international brands is preferred.
• A qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is considered an advantage.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices is essential.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards is essential.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance Systems, are preferred.
