The Role: Bakery Technologist

Almarai is seeking a dedicated Bakery Technologist to join its team in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ensuring consistent product quality and food safety within the Bakery Division through continuous improvement and effective issue resolution. The technologist will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement continuous improvement initiatives specifically within the Bakery Division.
• Investigate quality and process issues to identify root causes and areas for enhancement.
• Implement effective preventive and corrective measures to address identified issues.
• Monitor performance metrics to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to food safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Bakery Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology.
• 1-2 years of experience in industrial baking operations and/or food manufacturing.
• Possession of HACCP, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, and/or Internal Auditor certification.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality systems, including GMP and HACCP.
• Awareness of ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 and AIB requirements.
