The Role of Rendering Supervisor

Entaj is seeking a Rendering Supervisor to manage and oversee all daily operations within the Rendering Plant. This full-time position is based in Al Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient processing of poultry by-products, maintain optimal cooking parameters, guarantee consistent protein meal quality, achieve high production yields, and ensure strict compliance with food safety, environmental, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of all rendering production lines, including intestine, feather, and blood processing lines, ensuring the proper function of hydrolyzers and associated equipment.
• Monitor and control cooking parameters such as temperature, pressure, residence time, and moisture content, adhering to approved operating procedures.
• Calculate and optimize batch formulations and cooking ratios to ensure consistent product quality and maximize protein yield.
• Ensure the quality of finished protein meal and rendered fat meets established specifications.
• Monitor production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including production yield, throughput, energy consumption, and raw material utilization.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Team to minimize equipment downtime and ensure the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished products to minimize losses, contamination, and waste.
• Monitor process deviations, troubleshoot operational problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, hygiene standards, and company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures.
• Supervise operators, allocate duties, provide on-the-job training, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare daily production reports and analyze operational performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a rendering plant or similar industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise daily operations and manage production lines effectively.
• Strong understanding of cooking parameters, batch formulations, and quality control processes for protein meal and rendered fat.
• Proficiency in monitoring production KPIs and implementing corrective actions for process deviations.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, hygiene standards, and HSE procedures.
• Experience in coordinating with maintenance teams and providing on-the-job training to operators.
