Job Summary

The Software Engineer Industrial Systems is responsible for the development, maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of software applications and industrial machine systems within the manufacturing environment. This full-time role, based in Riyadh or Al-Kharj, combines Software Engineering and Industrial Software Engineering, covering software applications, databases, system integration, Industrial PCs, machine-related software, HMI/SCADA systems, and IT/OT connectivity. The position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves close collaboration with IT, Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and machine vendors to ensure the reliability, availability, security, and effective integration of software and industrial systems supporting manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, enhance, and support software applications according to business and operational requirements.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into effective software solutions.
• Perform software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain databases and SQL queries, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Manage software versions, configurations, updates, and application dependencies, maintaining technical documentation and source code.
• Support and maintain software applications for industrial machines and production equipment, including HMI and SCADA systems.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software on Industrial PCs and machine operator workstations.
• Troubleshoot software and communication issues between industrial machines, controllers, and related systems.
• Maintain machine software configurations, parameters, licenses, backups, and critical system files.
• Support IT/OT integration, including data exchange between machines, production systems, databases, and enterprise applications like SAP and MES.
• Provide technical software support to Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, responding to incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain reliable backups of machine software, configurations, databases, and applications, verifying integrity and recoverability.
• Apply IT and OT cybersecurity requirements to machine-related software and Industrial PCs, coordinating with the Cybersecurity team.
• Coordinate with machine manufacturers, software vendors, and system integrators for technical support and issue resolution.
