Team Leader Maintenance/Processing

About the Role

NADEC is seeking an experienced Team Leader - Maintenance/Processing to manage maintenance and technical services within its dairy processing facilities. This full-time role, based in Al-Kharj, Eastern Region, focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards.

Role Overview

The Team Leader will oversee all maintenance activities for processing operations, aiming to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency. The position involves leading a team of technicians and contractors, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to industry standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across processing operations.
• Ensure maximum equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, including OEE, MTTR, MTBF, PM Compliance, and maintenance costs.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement sustainable solutions.
• Lead equipment reliability and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and optimize maintenance strategies based on equipment performance and history.
• Support asset lifecycle management and capital project activities.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure safe and effective execution of maintenance work.
• Manage manpower allocation, shift coverage, and maintenance schedules.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, identifying training and succession planning needs.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and maintenance activities with Operations and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and maintenance standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Provide technical support for processing equipment such as pasteurizers, homogenizers, CIP systems, mixing units, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
• Support spare parts management, procurement activities, and inventory accuracy.
• Promote safety culture, 5S implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within dairy, food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and hands-on experience in technical services.
• Proficiency in monitoring and improving maintenance KPIs.
• Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Familiarity with food safety, quality, and maintenance standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000).
• Technical knowledge of processing equipment such as pasteurizers, homogenizers, and CIP systems.
