Shift leader

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Shift Leader for a full-time position in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines and carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and ensure thorough cleanup of the work area.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, unclogging drains), electrical components, and other guestroom items.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a maintenance or related role.
• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
• Ability to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems and safety hazards, and complete safety training.
• Capability to maintain a clean and professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members using clear and professional language.
• Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and reach overhead and below the knees.
