Fire Protection Project Engineer

About the Role

Zamil Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fire Protection Project Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The role focuses on managing and executing fire protection projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire protection systems, including fire alarm, firefighting, and fire suppression. This position demands excellent technical knowledge and project management capabilities to ensure successful project execution from planning through commissioning. The Fire Protection Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, maintaining quality, safety, and adherence to schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute fire protection projects, including Fire Alarm, Firefighting, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler Systems, FM-200, and other fire suppression systems.
• Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documents to ensure compliance with NFPA, FM Global, and applicable local standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout project execution.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), technical submittals, and as-built drawings.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate material procurement, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and project close-out documentation.
• Manage project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization and savings.
• Ensure effective coordination between civil, mechanical, electrical, and other project disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in managing and executing fire protection projects.
• Strong background in fire alarm, firefighting, fire suppression, and related systems.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and relevant local standards.
• Proven project management capabilities.
