About the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading infrastructure initiatives within assigned projects, ensuring robust and sustainable technical solutions.

Role Overview and Impact

The IT Infrastructure Engineer acts as the lead authority for infrastructure across designated projects. This role holds ownership of all infrastructure-related decisions, validations, and outcomes. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all solutions are aligned with business needs, adhere to established technical standards, and contribute to long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the infrastructure scope throughout all project phases, including design, implementation, validation, and closure.
• Ensure project delivery meets agreed timelines, milestones, and quality expectations.
• Proactively identify potential risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Take full ownership of technical engagement with vendors and system integrators.
• Review, challenge, and approve all deliverables provided by vendors.
• Enforce accountability and ensure vendors fulfill their contractual and technical obligations.
• Review and approve architecture designs, High-Level Designs (HLDs), and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
• Ensure consistency, completeness, and adherence to established standards in all designs.
• Identify design gaps, conflicts, and risks, and drive their resolution.
• Ensure alignment between infrastructure, applications, and security domains.
• Validate readiness for system integrations and manage project dependencies.
• Ensure all infrastructure deliverables are complete and verified prior to project handover.
• Validate the readiness of systems and documentation for transition to operations teams.
• Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and compliance with closure procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure roles, demonstrating a strong background in managing and leading infrastructure projects.
