Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector Civil to join their team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring civil works compliance and quality standards on various projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining project integrity and adherence to specifications.

Role Overview

The Quality Inspector Civil will be responsible for on-site supervision and inspection of civil construction activities. This role ensures that all works adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and project quality requirements, playing a critical part in maintaining high standards throughout project delivery and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, and progress, ensuring timely resolution of technical and quality issues.
• Review civil shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and technical documentation.
• Inspect civil construction activities including excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete works, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishes, roads, pavements, and external works.
• Ensure approved materials are used and that all civil works comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor inspection and testing activities for civil works, maintaining accurate quality records and documentation.
• Prepare daily site reports, inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), progress updates, and maintain comprehensive site records.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultants, Project Engineers, and Contractors to support successful project delivery and timely resolution of quality-related issues.
• Review technical queries, site instructions, variations, and design changes to minimise project delays and maintain quality standards.
• Verify that corrective actions for non-conformances are implemented effectively and closed out in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with Hill International's quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5–8 years' experience in civil quality inspection, site supervision, or construction supervision roles.
• Proven experience working on residential, villa, hospitality, or large-scale building projects.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, reinforced concrete works, finishes, waterproofing, and external infrastructure associated with villa developments.
• Experience conducting site inspections, reviewing QA/QC documentation, and monitoring contractor quality performance.
• Good understanding of construction standards, quality control procedures, inspection and testing requirements, and HSE regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Familiarity with inspection and test plans (ITPs), material approvals, method statements, and NCR management.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
