Welding Inspector

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join a reputable company in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring a strong background in the Oil & Gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections in accordance with approved project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Inspect fit-up, joint preparation, root gap, alignment, and welding activities.
• Verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Check welder qualifications and ensure welding is performed by approved welders.
• Monitor preheating, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), where applicable.
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and identify defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and incomplete fusion.
• Coordinate with NDT personnel for radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing, as applicable.
• Review welding drawings, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain quality records, and raise non-conformance reports when required.
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC requirements and applicable safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience as a Welding Inspector.
• Demonstrated experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
