Accountant Revenue ( SA)

About the Role

Air Arabia is seeking an Accountant Revenue to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position involves analyzing, processing, and maintaining the company’s revenue accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and Air Arabia’s policies. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage various revenue streams, including GSA revenue, GSA outstation expenses, direct sales, and ancillary revenue. The Accountant Revenue will be responsible for accurate financial recording, reconciliation, and reporting, while providing support to internal departments, external auditors, GSAs, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Post and validate revenue transactions, such as ticket sales, credit card sales, and ancillary income.
• Ensure accurate reflection of revenue in the BSP (Billing Settlement Plan) and perform necessary reconciliations.
• Maintain timely and accurate records within the financial system, adhering to accounting policies.
• Reconcile GSA accounts, outstation expenses, and vendor transactions, resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Follow up on overdue payments, interest charges, and renewals of bank guarantees from sales agents.
• Coordinate with the Commercial Sales department to manage credit exposure effectively.
• Prepare MIS reports, monthly revenue schedules, and assist in budget compilation as required.
• Review accruals for direct sector costs and ensure completeness before month-end closing.
• Liaise with GSAs, vendors, outsourced service providers, and internal teams to resolve finance-related queries.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial data, and verify and act on suspected fraud transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards across all activities.
• Stay updated on accounting practices and contribute to process enhancements and team efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with exposure to revenue management.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting standards and financial recording practices.
• Proficiency in financial systems and reconciliation processes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within the Eastern region. The role involves working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
