Attendant Laundry

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position involves managing laundry operations to ensure the cleanliness and proper handling of all textile items within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control washing machines, dry cleaning machines, and dryers.
• Replenish washing products and clean filters as required.
• Isolate stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action (repair, detach, rewash, or discard).
• Ensure the cleanliness of items exiting washing, drying, or dry cleaning machines and place them into clean linen carts.
• Adjust drying time and temperature according to fabric/textile types.
• Remove lint and other elements from dryer and dry cleaning machine filters, emptying filters after each load.
• Fold clean items to the indicated size, either by hand or using a machine.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of cleaned items.

Operational Duties and Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all chain safety policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, accident risks, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete required safety certifications and training.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance.
• Respect the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, contributing to team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management that correspond to the position.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or a full shift.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects.
• Reach objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Maneuver in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate sloping, uneven surfaces or slippery steps, and ascend/descend stairs and service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 year of experience. No specific educational qualifications, prior work experience, or supervisory experience is required. No particular license or certification is necessary for this position.
