Civil Quality Engineer Saudi National

About the Role

Algihaz Holding is seeking a Civil Quality Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is open to Saudi Nationals and requires 2-5 years of experience, focusing on implementing and maintaining quality management systems for civil works, particularly within substation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Civil Scope of Work and Design, Method Statements, Project Quality Plan, Project Quality Control Procedure, Project Specification, and Standards.
• Implement the Quality Management System at project sites.
• Perform civil work activity inspections on site.
• Coordinate with the consultant's representative and Site In-charge for all necessary inspections to obtain approvals.
• Review material submittals prior to client submission.
• Inspect all incoming materials in accordance with the MIRN (Material Inspection Request Note) inspection procedure.
• Utilize automation management tools such as Unifier and Oracle systems.
• Review, inspect, and monitor subcontractor activities on site to ensure adherence to QMS requirements.
• Attend weekly meetings with the client.
• Participate in and address internal and client audits, ensuring the closure of concerns highlighted as Non-Conformances (NCs) or observations.
• Follow up on site issues with Project/Site Managers.
• Prepare reports for the Quality Manager/Supervisor, detailing issues, non-conformance numbers, and areas for improvement.
• Update weekly status to departmental Supervisors/Managers through the Quality Management & Tracking System (QMTS).
• Maintain quality records including logbooks of work performed, weekly quality reports, internal inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Design Change Requests (DCRs), tracking sheets, and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil QA/QC, with demonstrated experience in substation projects.
• Proficiency in civil construction methods, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
• Experience with concrete works, foundations, earthworks, roads, drainage, and other civil works specific to substations.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.

Required Skills

• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively on construction sites and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical substation construction projects.
• Knowledge of applicable international standards and client specifications.
