SDEC is seeking a skilled Powder-Coat Painter to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, for a full-time position.

Role Summary

The Powder-Coat Painter will be responsible for executing powder coating processes on switchgear panels of varying sizes. This role requires hands-on experience with powder coating machinery and a comprehensive understanding of all stages involved in preparing, coating, and finishing objects to specified standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Read and interpret production drawings.
• Prepare lists of required coating powders and cleaning chemicals.
• Load and unload objects for coating processes.
• Perform rinsing, degreasing, and cleaning of welding spots on coating objects.
• Dry rinsed objects thoroughly before coating.
• Apply powder coating to objects.
• Bake powder-coated objects and unload them post-baking.
• Request necessary materials from the supervisor as per the Bill of Materials.

Required Skills and Technical Knowledge

• Proficiency in clearing welding spots.
• Expertise in selecting paint color codes.
• Strong ability to mix powder as per color requirements.
• Strong ability to mix rinsing and degreasing chemicals.
• Good knowledge of automatic rinsing plant operations.
• Good knowledge of both automatic and manual powder coating plant operations.
• Proficiency in automatic powder curing oven operation.
• Proficiency in drying oven plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of timing control for conveyors.
• Proficiency in oven temperature control settings as per coating objects.
• Good knowledge of testing coating thickness.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience working with powder coating machinery.
• Demonstrated experience in powder coating switchgear panels of various sizes.
