About the Role

Gilvis Recruitment is partnering with a major contracting company in Saudi Arabia to recruit experienced Rig Superintendents. This is a contract, on-site position based in Dammam, Eastern Province, focusing on projects with a significant Oil & Gas Operator.

Role Overview

The Rig Superintendent oversees daily rig operations to ensure drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all standards. This role involves planning and supervising drilling programs, coordinating various teams, and managing equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily rig operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant drilling activities.
• Planning and supervising drilling programs.
• Coordinating with drilling crews, contractors, and service companies.
• Monitoring equipment performance and maintenance schedules.
• Mentoring and guiding rig staff.
• Resolving operational issues.
• Maintaining clear communication with project management and client representatives.
• Enforcing safety policies and conducting regular site inspections.
• Managing incident reporting and ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards.
• Reviewing operational data and preparing activity reports.
• Supporting cost control and resource allocation for rig operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in rig operations.
• Proven ability to oversee and manage complex drilling activities.

Work Environment

This is an on-site contract position located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, requiring direct involvement in daily rig operations.
