Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in relevant engineering fields, focusing on the installation and maintenance of high voltage systems.

Role Overview and Scope

The Senior I&C Engineer is responsible for all activities necessary to ensure the successful installation, repair, and fault elimination of switching systems. This role involves the installation of high voltage systems globally for Hitachi Energy's PGHV division. The engineer will represent Hitachi Energy's technical expertise at client installation sites, ensuring adherence to project deadlines while maintaining a focus on cost-performance efficiency. The role also requires embodying Hitachi Energy's QA philosophy, considering specific construction site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the installation and commissioning work is executed to perfect technical standards.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Verify compliance with installation requirements and instructions, ensuring all necessary accident prevention measures are observed, particularly guidelines for work on live system components.
• Red-mark drawings and documents to reflect any changes or modifications made during installation.
• Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Advise sub-suppliers' installation superintendents on planning and coordinating the workforce to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and pending work.
• Inspect incoming materials for completeness and potential damage, coordinating material handling with sub-suppliers' Material Control procedures.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within Hitachi Energy's scope of supply, in cooperation with the PG Project Manager.
• Supervise final installation and commissioning tests, along with the preparation of installation completion documentation.
• Oversee and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the PG-CH Project Manager.
• Ensure adherence to applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering, specifically within high voltage systems installation and commissioning environments.
