About GDC Middle East and the Role

GDC Middle East (الشركة السعودية لتهيئة وصيانة الطائرات) is seeking an experienced AVN Logistics Instructor for the Basic Officer Course in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for developing future aviation logistics officers and requires a candidate with extensive experience in the field.

Role Overview

As the Lead Aviation Logistics Instructor for the Basic Officer Course (BOC), you will operate under the direction of the Aviation Institute's Technical Department Training Manager. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive academic instruction, practical hands-on performance training, and thorough evaluations to course participants, ensuring they meet required proficiency and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver academic instruction, hands-on performance training, and evaluations to students.
• Develop course schedules to ensure students achieve proficiency and meet maintenance standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student training records.
• Perform POI (Program of Instruction) technical writing, courseware development, and periodic revisions as needed.
• Create, implement, and modify curriculum to meet defined course learning objectives.
• Provide classroom and hands-on instruction using various teaching techniques and technical publications.
• Prepare students for assignment as an Aviation Logistics Officer at Battalion or higher levels.
• Manage the daily classroom schedule for assigned instructors, including teaching, lesson planning, and course development activities.
• Manage and maintain the assigned classroom, ensuring all equipment, tools, and supplies are in order.
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed by management.

Professional Conduct and Development

The instructor is expected to perform duties within a culturally sensitive environment while consistently maintaining a professional attitude, appearance, and approach. A critical requirement for this role is to successfully pass an instructor qualification course within the first 90 days of hire.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position must possess over 15 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong background in aviation logistics and instructional delivery. This experience is essential for effective curriculum development and student preparation.
