Jazeera Paints is seeking a Full-time Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance within the company's operations.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure accurate cost calculations, reliable financial reporting, and full compliance with both internal policies and applicable external regulations. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through detailed financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed product costing reports by analyzing costs across relevant cost centers and locations to support informed strategic decision-making.
• Perform monthly costing activities and oversee inventory reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate product costing, validating inventory records, investigating and resolving variances, and supporting month-end closing with timely cost and inventory reporting.
• Conduct Budget vs. Actual variance analysis by monitoring financial performance against approved budgets and identifying significant variances.
• Record and process ledger postings for all cost and production-related transactions, including raw materials, bill of materials, and variances between standard and actual costs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
• Ensure accurate application of transfer pricing between business units in accordance with established policies and guidelines, maintaining consistency and compliance.
• Maintain organized and systematically structured financial records to ensure efficient data retrieval and support accurate and timely report preparation.
• Perform detailed analysis of operating variances between standard cost, actual cost, and budget, providing insights for cost optimization and process improvement.
• Review and analyze actual and standard product costs regularly, promptly updating inaccurate standards and reporting discrepancies to management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to costing processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all transactions and reports adhere to externally defined legislation and guidelines, fulfilling all legislative reporting requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates for new and proposed products or services to support planning, pricing, and decision-making processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts, providing valuable insights into future financial performance.
• Execute activities related to the function using safe and environmental methods.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring the Accountant to work within established company procedures and safety guidelines.
