About Foreground

Foreground is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in Riyadh. The client is a digital-first organization that operates critical platforms with high data sensitivity and significant regulatory oversight. Cybersecurity is a strategic priority for the business.

The Role of Chief Information Security Officer

The Chief Information Security Officer will be responsible for leading the enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This full-time role involves overseeing security architecture, governance frameworks, and incident response. A primary objective is to ensure the alignment of the cybersecurity posture with regulatory and national standards. The CISO will also advise executive leadership and the board on matters of cyber risk and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy.
Manage cyber risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and national standards.
Oversee the design and implementation of security architecture and governance frameworks.
Direct incident response planning and execution.
Advise executive leadership and the board on cyber risk and resilience.
Manage relationships with third-party security providers and internal security teams.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Demonstrated senior cybersecurity leadership experience within regulated or enterprise environments.
Strong exposure to risk frameworks, compliance, and security operations.
Experience in Saudi Arabia or similar regulatory markets is highly preferred.
Ability to combine technical depth with effective executive communication skills.
Relevant industry certifications are strongly valued.
