About the Role

Foreground is seeking a Commercial Director to join a major construction and infrastructure contractor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing all commercial aspects of the business, supporting large-scale government and private sector projects across Saudi Arabia. The Commercial Director will report to executive leadership and contribute to strengthening the organization's commercial and contract management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all commercial aspects of the business, including contracts, cost control, claims, and risk management.
Support project teams from the tender stage through execution and final account settlement.
Strengthen commercial governance and improve margin visibility across the project portfolio.
Manage senior commercial teams and interface with clients, consultants, and legal advisors.
Contribute to bid strategy and contract structuring.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess extensive commercial leadership experience within construction or infrastructure environments. A strong background in contract management, claims, and project financials is essential for this role. Experience working on large-scale Saudi projects is highly preferred.

Qualifications and Requirements

Over 10 years of commercial leadership experience in construction or infrastructure.
Demonstrated expertise in contract management, claims, and project financials.
Strong negotiation skills and risk awareness.
Ability to support complex project environments.
Chartered or professionally qualified candidates are strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates within a dynamic environment focused on major construction and infrastructure projects. The Commercial Director will work with project teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
