Commi II

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Commi II to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring adherence to food preparation checklists and presentation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and proper food storage.
• Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix fresh fruits and vegetables and other ingredients.
• Cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
• Prepare cold food items as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently and monitor food quality during preparation.
• Set up and break down the workstation efficiently.
• Serve food in correct portions using appropriate receptacles.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and ensure the correctness of appliance and food temperatures.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate with colleagues using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
