Cyber Defense Officer

About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a Cyber Defense Officer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves building and implementing cybersecurity solutions for end-users, ensuring alignment with CARE Policies and Procedures. The position reports directly to the Director, Cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement detection, prevention, and recovery controls to protect against malicious and mobile code.
• Configure and install firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
• Assist with investigations to determine the root cause of security breaches.
• Establish and maintain virus protection arrangements across CARE.
• Ensure the implementation of technical vulnerability management.
• Provide support for technical audit and review exercises.
• Ensure the availability of timely information regarding technical vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning as needed or as scheduled.
• Create detailed reports to provide clear information about vulnerabilities and remediation steps.
• Monitor SIEM key logs and implement SIEM updates.
• Identify, validate, investigate, record, review, and report Cybersecurity incidents promptly.
• Follow detailed operational processes and procedures to analyze, escalate, and support the remediation of cybersecurity incidents.
• Maintain and keep the threat and vulnerability database up to date to ensure environmental threats are captured and updated.
• Measure the effectiveness of technical vulnerability management implementation.
• Create and enhance detailed operational processes and procedures for incident identification, validation, investigation, recording, review, and reporting.
• Work actively on security incidents raised by the Security Operation Center (SOC) following approved incident response plans.
• Perform additional job-related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.

This position reports directly to the Director, Cybersecurity.
