Director of Rooms voco™

About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Director of Rooms for voco™ Riyadh. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and involves leading and managing all Rooms Division operations to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Hotel Overview

voco™ Riyadh is located on King Fahad Road in the city's business district, approximately 30 minutes from King Khalid International Airport. The hotel is situated opposite the Ministry of Interior and near other government offices, offering contemporary comfort and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Rooms Division operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day performance.
• Deliver guest experiences and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ensure compliance with voco™ and IHG brand standards, policies, and operating procedures.
• Drive Front Office and Housekeeping performance, productivity, and service excellence.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, quality scores, and operational KPIs, developing action plans for continuous improvement.
• Maximize room revenue through effective coordination with Revenue Management and Commercial teams.
• Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, room availability, upselling, and other Rooms Division performance indicators.
• Ensure effective room inventory management, including VIP rooms, out-of-order rooms, room readiness, and room allocation.
• Lead and develop Rooms Division leaders and colleagues through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and maintenance throughout guest rooms and public areas.
• Manage departmental budgets, payroll, expenses, and productivity in line with financial objectives.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Revenue, F&B, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
• Participate actively in hotel leadership meetings, operational reviews, and strategic planning.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and genuine care for guests and colleagues.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-7 years of relevant experience in hotel operations, specifically within the Rooms Division. A proven track record in leadership and management within the hospitality sector is required.
