EHS Trainer

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Trainer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for developing and delivering EHS training programs for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel involved in renewable energy projects. The role ensures compliance with company, client, and Saudi regulatory requirements.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to plan and execute comprehensive EHS training initiatives across various renewable energy project sites. The EHS Trainer will play a critical part in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring all personnel are adequately prepared for their tasks, particularly those involving high-risk activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver EHS induction programs, toolbox talks, and technical safety training for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Conduct training sessions on critical risks associated with PV Solar, BESS, electrical works, construction, working at height, lifting, excavation, confined space, and emergency response.
• Prepare comprehensive training materials, presentations, practical demonstrations, and assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate training schedules, attendance records, competency assessments, and training matrices.
• Conduct refresher training and competency programs based on site risk assessments and identified gaps.
• Coordinate with EHS, Construction, HR, and project teams to identify specific training requirements.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and feedback mechanisms.
• Support site campaigns, safety awareness programs, and other EHS initiatives.
• Conduct mock drills and emergency preparedness training as required.
• Ensure all personnel are trained and deemed competent before undertaking high-risk activities.
• Monitor compliance with client and project-specific EHS training requirements.
• Maintain accurate training records and submit periodic training reports to EHS management.
• Support incident-prevention initiatives by developing targeted training based on lessons learned.
• Ensure all training activities comply with Saudi regulatory requirements, client standards, and company EHS procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and deliver EHS training programs effectively.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations and best practices, particularly within the renewable energy and construction sectors.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work within project sites, engaging with diverse teams and personnel to ensure a safe working environment.
