Engineer Lead

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Engineer Lead to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the maintenance and operation of tools, appliances, and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, and recommend replacements as needed.
• Calibrate all controls, indicators, and gauges.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining purchase order and inventory records.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machinery and utilize computers to input and retrieve work-related information.
• Operate a forklift.
• Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching; serve as a role model.
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, complete safety training and certifications, and store flammable materials safely.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost savings.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance.
• Ascend or descend regular ladders, service ramps, inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and/or step stools.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• License or Certification: Valid Driver's License.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Education: Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Related Work Experience: 4-6 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring hands-on involvement with equipment and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.
