Guest Experience Expert

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Guest Experience Expert for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all guests, from check-in to check-out, and involves direct interaction to meet their service needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Process guest check-ins, including identity verification, payment processing, room assignment, and key activation/issuance.
• Set up accurate guest accounts and enter Marriott Rewards information.
• Ensure rates align with market codes and document any exceptions.
• Secure payment before issuing room keys and verify/adjust billing.
• Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists.
• Complete cashier and closing reports, balance receipts, and manage the bank at the start and end of each shift.
• Provide guests with directions and property information, and accommodate requests by contacting appropriate staff and ensuring follow-up.
• Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges.
• Obtain manual authorizations and adhere to all Accounting procedures.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.

Operational and Support Duties

• Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate using clear and professional language, prepare accurate written documents, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and utilize computer/POS systems for information entry and retrieval.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in using computers and POS systems.
• Commitment to providing a high level of guest experience.
