The Role of HSE Officer

As an HSE Officer based in Riyadh, Riyadh, you will contribute to promoting a safe and compliant site environment. This full-time role involves supporting the day-to-day HSE oversight across active construction works. The HSE Officer plays a key part in the effective implementation of safety plans, risk controls, and reporting processes, working closely with project stakeholders to identify issues early, reinforce safe behaviors, and support timely escalation when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor daily construction activities to ensure HSE compliance.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
Ensure contractor adherence to approved HSE plans, procedures, and risk assessments.
Monitor toolbox talks, permits, and safe work practices.
Support incident reporting and investigation processes.
Follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in HSE meetings, audits, and awareness activities.
Prepare HSE observations, inspection reports, and daily/weekly reports.
Escalate significant HSE risks and violations to the HSE Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant HSE role, preferably within a construction environment. The role requires a strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices, along with the ability to effectively monitor and report on compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh. The role involves working within a dynamic construction environment, requiring regular site presence and interaction with various project stakeholders.
