About the Role

AECOM is seeking a full-time Inspector – Fire, Life, Safety to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire and life safety systems across various commercial and industrial facilities. The Inspector will ensure all systems comply with local and international safety standards while providing technical support to clients.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will operate independently in the field, focusing on safety protocols and regulatory requirements. This position requires a proactive professional capable of diagnosing technical issues and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of life safety equipment, including emergency lighting and exit signage systems.
Diagnose technical issues and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance.
Document all inspection findings, maintenance activities, and test results in detailed reports.
Ensure all work complies with applicable Saudi Arabian safety regulations and international fire safety standards.
Communicate findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Schedule and coordinate field visits to meet client requirements and project timelines.
Maintain accurate records of equipment service history and compliance documentation.
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and provide technical guidance to clients.
Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices in fire and life safety.
Collaborate with internal teams to support project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in fire safety systems inspection, testing, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of life safety systems and emergency response equipment.
Familiarity with fire safety codes, building standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Technical proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting fire and life safety equipment.

Required Skills

Excellent documentation and report writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in field-based environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
