About WSP and the Role

WSP is seeking an experienced Interior Designer - Saudi National to join a major Supervision Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the design implementation process for interior fit-out works, ensuring adherence to approved design specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Role Context and Purpose

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing interior design works across all project phases. This position requires close collaboration with various design disciplines and a focus on resolving design and construction-related issues to ensure seamless project execution. The role emphasizes maintaining design integrity and quality throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design (ID) works and manage a dedicated team throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with architects and other design disciplines (*, lighting, MEP final fix) to resolve design or construction-related issues.
• Provide expert input on the selection of materials and finishes, balancing client preferences with architectural and project requirements.
• Contribute to and approve construction ID details, ensuring alignment with the overall design vision.
• Manage and review construction documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, to ensure design intent and modifications are reflected and to highlight discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings for project records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong background in construction supervision, site coordination, design management, and quality assurance.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
• Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local regulations, standards, and industry best practices is highly advantageous.
