About Noon Academy
Noon Academy is a leading edtech platform in the Middle East, serving over 12 million students and teachers. The company's mission is to transform the physical classroom experience through engaging social, group-based learning and AI to improve learning efficacy. Having recently raised $41 million in Series B funding, Noon Academy is expanding its reach and is currently focused on reinventing schools in Saudi Arabia, operating as a well-funded and profitable company.
Role Overview
Noon Academy is seeking a Learning Operations / Automation Manager to lead the Sciences (Biology / Chemistry) content operation. This full-time role is based in the Riyadh office, located near the Boulevard. The position involves two phases: an initial focus on delivery and people management, followed by a transition to designing and building AI-driven automation for content production. The Learning Team is responsible for the content engine, covering term plans, session design, question banks, and assessments across various curricula, including Qudrat, Tahsili, Nafes, the National Curriculum, and the International track.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of four Design Leads covering Biology (Tahsili), Chemistry (Tahsili), Science (Middle School & Nafes), and Bio & Chem (International), along with content creators and a QA contractor. This includes owning their goals, 1:1s, feedback, growth, and hiring for open positions.
- Document the current content creation process for lessons, question banks, and assessments, including inputs, tools, decision points, and review cycles, to inform future automation efforts.
- Oversee the end-to-end science content roadmap, defining content development order and timelines across Grades 7–12 on both National and International tracks, while maintaining visibility into progress and addressing delays.
- Implement operating cadences for capacity planning, production planning, prioritization, and unblocking to ensure a smooth, multi-subject, multi-grade content pipeline.
- Collaborate with Learning Excellence and Head Teachers to establish design standards, review gates, and QA workflows, ensuring consistent content quality.
- Utilize existing data (Exit Ticket, Diagnostic, End-of-Chapter, Learning Gain) in partnership with Data and Learning Excellence to inform and drive content development changes for subsequent terms.
- Facilitate effective handoffs and collaboration with Head Teachers, Learning Excellence, Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Experience, and School Ops, all of whom interact with the content pipeline.
- Develop templates, trackers, playbooks, and review rituals to enable content volume growth without proportional headcount increases, including the transition to AI-assisted content production.
- Design and build AI-driven workflows and tooling (using AI agents, data pipelines, and internal tools) to eliminate high-friction manual steps in content production, with continuous system improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience managing people (5 years preferred; 3 years acceptable with exceptional experience elsewhere).
- Background in technology or education (ideally both), such as edtech platforms, Saudi tech startups, or learning organizations with scheduled deliveries.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (*, Claude, ChatGPT) to build AI agents, skills, workflows, prototypes, or internal tools, beyond end-user application.
- Demonstrated delivery capability in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Decisive, self-driven, comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, and accountable for outcomes.
- Fluent in Arabic and strong professional English.
- Currently based in Riyadh.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with no-code/low-code automation tools (*, Zapier, Make, n8n) or basic scripting (*, Python).
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning.
- Familiarity with Saudi national assessments (Tahsili, Qudrat, Nafes).
- Experience managing distributed teams, contractors, or freelance production pools.
- Comfort with data tooling, dashboards, and AI-assisted content workflows.
- Experience in international or multicultural teams.
Opportunity and Impact
This role offers significant scope from the outset, involving the management of 4 Design Leads, a contractor pool, six programs, and Grades 7-12 across National and International tracks. As this is a new function, the successful candidate will be instrumental in defining how science content is produced at Noon Academy. The position reports to the Head of Learning Operations and involves direct collaboration with the Chief Learning Officer. Success in this role is measurable through learning gain, exam outcomes, and delivery reliability.
