About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is seeking a Litigation Senior Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves operating with minimal supervision to prepare complex reports and undertake operational activities related to litigation. The specialist will contribute to ZATCA’s litigation strategy by analyzing historical data and managing complex legal cases.

Role Purpose and Scope

This position is designed for professionals capable of working within established guidelines and procedures to support ZATCA’s legal objectives. The role focuses on consolidating and analyzing data from previous cases to inform litigation strategy, as well as collecting and assessing complex legal cases. The Litigation Senior Specialist will also contribute to achieving operational targets within their assigned functional area.

Key Responsibilities

Receive litigation cases from the objections team and assist in prioritizing them for analysis based on predefined criteria.
Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and policies for each case to ensure proper legal assessment.
Collect and categorize objection cases, coordinating with various sectors and divisions to identify all requirements and implications.
Gather necessary documentation and arrange meetings with concerned entities to identify infringements and prepare appropriate legal accommodations.
Draft statements of claim, counterstatements, warning letters, and responses on legal matters to protect ZATCA’s legal rights and reputation.
Assist in conducting studies to mitigate recurrent infringements and formulate potential preventive actions.
Conduct legal research using various resources to analyze and select relevant legal information.
Support the review of legal materials and other relevant documents to identify and prioritize critical issues.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision within established guidelines and procedures.
Experience in preparing complex, specialized, or ad hoc reports.
Proficiency in legal research and analysis.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires an individual who can work effectively within a structured environment while managing diverse legal tasks independently.
