About the Opportunity

Alliance Recruitment Agency is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Live-In NICU Nurse to provide specialized clinical care for a private family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on supporting a medically complex newborn transitioning home after a prolonged NICU stay and major surgery, ensuring comprehensive and continuous professional nursing support.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will deliver advanced neonatal nursing care, closely adhering to the hospital discharge plan and treating physicians' instructions. This is a specialized clinical position requiring expertise in neonatal and pediatric care; general caregivers, nannies, domestic helpers, or adult-care nurses will not be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized neonatal nursing care in strict accordance with the hospital discharge plan and medical instructions.
  • Monitor the baby's health, including respiratory status, feeding tolerance, medication effects, and overall recovery progress.
  • Perform essential procedures such as colostomy and stoma care, wound care, and comprehensive postoperative monitoring.
  • Administer medications accurately and maintain meticulous clinical records.
  • Support feeding, implementing aspiration precautions, and monitor the baby's developmental milestones.
  • Maintain stringent infection-control standards within the home environment.
  • Coordinate effectively with parents, doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals involved in the baby's care.
  • Respond appropriately and professionally to neonatal emergencies within the defined scope of practice.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Neonatal or Pediatric Nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent hands-on NICU experience (Level III/IV preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience caring for postoperative or medically complex newborns.
  • Proven expertise in colostomy/stoma care, neonatal medication administration, feeding support, and aspiration precautions.
  • Infant CPR & Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid nursing license or eligibility to obtain one in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong English communication skills.

Preferred Certifications and Skills

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Experience collaborating with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, or developmental specialists.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to live with the family in Saudi Arabia.
  • Non-smoker and non-vaper.
  • Ability to provide verifiable hospital/NICU references.
