MEP Engineer (Mechanical Design)

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a MEP Engineer (Mechanical Design) to join its engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, analyzing, and documenting mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to deliver efficient and compliant mechanical solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, for various building projects.
• Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software and tools.
• Conduct load calculations, ductwork sizing, and system analysis to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into overall building design.
• Review and approve equipment submittals, shop drawings, and technical documentation from contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations specific to Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site inspections to monitor construction progress and address design-related issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot design conflicts and provide efficient solutions to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain organized project documentation and accurate records of design decisions and modifications.
• Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering projects on time and within specifications.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in MEP engineering with a focus on mechanical design.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
